Skills for Responding to Dangerous Reactive Aggression

In the previous chapter we looked in detail at a particularly violent encounter in which the professional had little or no time to think, and little or no margin for error. In this chapter we bring together the various ideas from chapters one and two to illustrate how it may be possible to respond effectively to situations that may appear to be unmanageable. This is the new domain of Rapid Reaction Skills - professional skills that can be used faster than it is possible to think.
